Hi Everybody… and Goodmorning / -afternoon / – night

Time… is the first word that comes to mind, to my mind at least, when I think about something that starts with a T.
In my case, time that one gets during his/her life on our planet… and what one experiences in that time…
Tomorrow (tuesday) 6 weeks ago I suffered a heartattack and had lots of angels on my shoulders as it happened in the garden of an hospital, if I had been anywhere else my time on earth had ended right there on that spot.
So time.. .it is for the T in this round.
I still am very busy ‘getting better / well’ and that takes not only lots of time but also lots of energy… (and more so patience wich I don’t have!!)  so as much as I would like to, I won’t visit you this week to see what you have entered.
But I do hope ofcourse that you visit eachother and have lots and lots of fun doing so.
Like you, the others like comments on their entries as well.

Cherish your time, every second of it… because it can be the last one

Have a wonderful, gorgeous, splendid & ♥-warming
and as healthy as possible, ABC-wednes-day / – week!

Hi Everybody… and Goodmorning / -afternoon / – night

A creature I still don’t know how I feel about them … I do not like them in particular but I don’t dislike them either.
I would not keep tortoise as pets though.
I can not tell you mucha about them… I don’t know that much about them, there are lots of kinds and they have different sizes..

Have a splendid, ♥-warming ABC-wednes-day / – week!

What an appropriate week for ABC Wednesday – as T gets centre stage.

So – T is for  Thanksgiving and of course, turkey:

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the U.S!

A perfect turkey for this special day – on Thursday, created by my young granddaughter.

In Canada, we celebrated Thanksgiving in October. There are some differences in our two celebrations. Check here to see how.

T is also for thanks.

thanks 001

Having an attitude of gratitude is so important. So many health benefits have been shown to take place when we give thanks, when we are giving, when we keep a gratitude journal and record what we are thankful for.

The blog “Newly Creative” is hosting  21 Days of Practising Gratitude. Do check it out here.

…Hi Everybody… and Goodmorning / -afternoon / – night

22-T… time flies, doesn’t it?
In another 7 weeks from now, Round 23 will start… I sincerely  hope that all of you will continue to participate so we all can keepe ABC running!

My entry for today comes from one of the terraces in my favorite zoo. I saw this and this T is so obvious that I could not pass it by without using it, I think you understand that.

Looking forward to your 22-T-entries I say:

Have a splendid, ♥-warming ABC-wednes-day / – week!

T Is For Tipper

Last Summer we had to put down our 13 year old family dog, Tipper, a highly intelligent brindle female dog with the sweetest disposition. We got her from some friends when she was only about 2 months old. She had the longest legs I’ve ever seen in a puppy, although her elegant long snout wasn’t fully developed yet. She had white tips on her snout, tail and all 4 paws, hence the name Tipper. She was truly a family dog, and although she was quite large, I believe she thought of herself as a lap dog. She loved to lay on the couch and lay her head on whomever’s lap was available.

My girls were young when we got Tipper, so she truly grew up with them. Abby was in the second grade and Ana in fifth. Therefore, Tipper was very attached to them and very protective as well. Tipper used to love to hang with them in their bedrooms when they were still living at home. They even played dress-up with her when they were little. Have you ever seen a full grown greyhound in a dress and pearls? LOL! Tipper didn’t care, as long as she got to be with them.

I believe it was a little hard on Tipper as the girls went off to college, and Ana eventually moved out. She then became my art studio dog, and would lay down by my drafting table as I worked. However, whenever the girls visited, she was stuck to them like glue. She was always so excited when they would walk in the door, that she would start whimpering with excitement, just as humans may shed tears of joy when they see a loved one after being separated for a long period of time.

Tipper was the last surviving dog from her litter, and exceeded the average lifespan of greyhounds, which is 10-12 years. She was an alpha dog, so she was very tough. Therefore, although it was very hard for my family when we lost her, we feel we were able to provide her with a good life. I know the Bible doesn’t talk about dogs going to Heaven, but I choose to believe they do.

May Tipper rest in peace until we meet again.
