…Hi Everybody… and Goodmorning / -afternoon / – night

For 23-P

First of all the Panther. His name is Mowgli. He originates from my hometown zoo Wildlands Emmen but was moved, together with his wife Rica to another Dutch Zoo, Artis in Amsterdam.  June 28th 2017 they became parents by 2 little cubs. My last fisit to that zoo was on July 18th, just 3 months ago. Those little ones are almost as big as their parents by now. You may watch my other photo’s from that visit HERE

As you might know by now, my most favorite animals are birds. My number 1 bird is the Peacock.
The photo you see here, I made june 6th, not in a Dutch zoo though but in a German one, in Rheine to be specific.
The other photo’s I made that day can be watched HERE

Have a splendid, ♥-warming ABC-wednes-day / – week!

  1. Melody,

Black panthers are such beautiful animals. In the hills of southern West Virginia where my husband and I grew up, we were told stories of long ago about panthers. I even used a slightly twisted version of the true story that DH’s grandma shared with us of her own experience with a panther as a child in my children’s book, The Tale of Ole Green Eyes. Black panthers have been reported in the Appalachian region but the sightings are rare, most panthers are tan. Peacocks are beautiful birds and it seems many years ago, we saw one in person. I have a FB friend who owns a peacock and sometimes she’ll share pictures of her pet. I think it’s quite interesting.

I linked up for the fun and thank you for hosting the mid-week fun!

    • Hi Cathy, thank you for sharing that story.
I feel a little jealous of that fb-friend on one hand, on the other hand not because I don’t have the space and peace around here where I live

      You are most welcome

    • Indeed…. we’ve been several minutes at where he was…. made lots of photo’s of course

Indeed, many people thing that a black panther is black only….that is never the cause… they are Always spotted, like the females… but the maincolor is different
