A new week and the next letter in our 23rd jaunt through the alphabet. K is the star this week.
K is for Kite.
Who hasn’t flown a kite when young – whether store-bought or made by hand. What fun it was to race across a field with your kite trailing behind, with the hopes it would soar above you.
A beautiful poem by Kimmers gives a perfect description of flying kites. Here are the first four lines:
colors floating in the blue
as laughing children pull on string
rising and falling and billowing and swaying
to the rhythms of the wind…
